Will this be secured against the guarantor's home?
The loan is not secured against the guarantor’s home.
The only time the guarantor's home can be affected is if the loan is not paid back by either the borrower or the guarantor. In this instance, there is the possibility of court action and if a CCJ is awarded and not stuck to, then we can request a charging order on their property or an attachment of earnings.
This is ONLY if the loan is not paid back and nothing more can be done to come to another arrangement.
