Can I make a smaller monthly payment?
It is important that payments are made in full and on time each month, as this is our contractual agreement and it could help build your credit rating.
If you are having difficulty maintaining your monthly payments, it is important that we speak to you to understand your financial situation, as we may find that we can come to an alternative payment arrangement with you. This arrangement needs to be affordable and reasonable to both your situation and how much is outstanding on your loan.
If we can’t come to an alternative payment arrangement with you, and the account falls behind by 15 days, we'll then attempt payment from your guarantor.
We’ll only ever ask your guarantor to pay in line with their agreement and in the best interests of you both. Doing so helps prevent any negative implications of the account remaining behind, such as the arrears increasing and the loan term extending.
