Financial worries?

We have support available for you

We understand finances. We also understand that everyone’s situations are different, and sometimes our circumstances can quickly change when we’re not expecting it.

A change in your financial situation

A sudden change in your life or situation may affect your income or outgoings. This might include job loss or change, an unexpected large payment, or something else. However you’ve been impacted, what’s really important is that we work together and that you know we’re here for you. We want you to feel comfortable with contacting us so we can put in place any extra support you may need. Remember, if it is your partner that has been affected, and you share finances with them, then you should still inform us of this.

When to get in touch

If you think it’s possible you will miss an upcoming payment or future payment because your normal monthly budget has changed, get in touch with us to discuss as soon as you can. We would never want to put any of our customers in financial difficulty by attempting to take your loan repayment from you.

How we could help

To make sure we provide the right support, we’ll first need to have a chat with you so we can get a good understanding of your new situation and what’s changed. If you’re comfortable with sharing, it’s always best we know the situation in detail so we can ensure we have the best resolution in place. We’ll go through your budget, like we did when the loan was first paid out, to get the most accurate view of your finances.

The information you provide us will be compared against your current budget and we’ll talk through it with you to go over the differences. We may ask you to send us in some documentation, just so we can confirm the new details.

Some help for right now

Worrying about money can take a toll on your mental health. There are signs to look out for which could indicate this, such as feeling sick, overwhelmed, struggling to sleep or finding it hard to concentrate. If you are experiencing any of these, it’s important to seek the help you need. As well as talking to us about your money worries, it’s a good idea to speak to someone you trust to help you feel less alone. We know not everyone may have someone in their life they can confide in so please reach out to a professional organisation who are there to listen to you. You can find contact details of these, and more info on dealing with mental health, here.
